FAQs

  • What type of therapy do you offer?

I provide individual therapy, on-line, via an encrypted platform compliant with HIPAA laws. This allows for more convenient scheduling and flexibility.

I am a member of PSYPACT which allows me to see clients in Illinois and over 40 states across the country (psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap).

  • How much do you charge per session?

My fee is $150 per session. I can process credit card payments through Square and provide you with a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.

I am in network for Blue Cross / Blue Shield PPO, Medicare, and some AETNA plans.

Please feel free to ask me about sliding scale rates if you are interested in working with me but you hold different insurance.

If you are using out-of-network benefits or paying cash I will provide an estimate of treatment costs per the federal No Surprises Act.

  • Do you have a theory that guides how you provide therapy?

I am integrative, drawing from many different schools of therapy including Client Centered, Psychodynamic, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Transpersonal theories of change. I apply a multicultural and feminist lens to understand how issues of race, culture, gender, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and other identities enrich and impact people’s experience of life.

My approach is uniquely tailored to each client.

  • How do I get started?

Send me an email or reach out via the contact button on my site. I will respond, and we can schedule a consultation to see if we are a good fit with each other. Then you can decide if you want to commit to regular therapy.
